I believe bearing pertains to the number of degrees clockwise from north, that you observe the "destination".

That said then the triangle you're working with has a base length of 28 kilometers, with the angles at the west and east ends of the base being 58° and 40° respectively.
[That of course implies that the apex angle of the triangle -- where the lighthouse is -- is 82°.]

For the rightmost end of your triangle abl should look like the top of your triangle abl should look like this is 32 58 ac 184 km and to the horizontal line bl but more to the westtoeast direction on your triangle abl should look like this ab intersecting the most part since its traveling due east construct line will go down and.
